RECOMMENDATIONS

I often get asked about my favorite products! Here’s a list of things I love relating to hair loss and thinning hair*….

I’ve tried and loved all of these and would never recommend something I don’t use personally.

Hair Care & Treatments:

1. Rogaine 5% Foam

I’ve been using this for years and am so happy with the foam that I’ve never switched to a generic foam yet. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

2. Minoxidil 5% Liquid

I did however try using liquid generic minoxidil, which I also like! It’s a little harder to travel with than the foam. Also, it’s a little oily so if you have a dry-normal scalp like I do, it’s a great fit.

3. Kerastase Nutritive Bain Satin 1 Shampoo

I talk about this shampoo all the time because I’ve never found a more hydrating shampoo that makes my hair shine. Love it, I’ve been using it for 10 years, even before I had hair loss! Here’s a link to it.

4. Viviscal Densifying Conditioner

Smells great, it’s very, very lightweight and it’s perfect for thin and thinning hair cause it plumps up those strands. There’s a shampoo too (but I think the conditioner is the star of the show).

5. Tangle Teezer brush

The only brush I’ll ever buy again. It was great when I had a pixie cut, and now that my hair is longer too…all those little bristles get right to the scalp. Affordable, easy to pop in a purse and GREAT for kids with tangles.

For Filming My Videos:

1. Canon EOS Rebel SL2

I love this camera because it’s one of the few less expensive DSLRs that have an external mic port AND a flippable screen so you can see yourself when you’re filming.

2. Rode VideoMicro Mic

So good! Great sound quality and affordable…it’s the best for beginner YouTubers.

3. Amazon Tripod

You really don’t need to splurge on a tripod for indoor videos…it’s not like a gale force wind is going to knock down your camera. Just get one from Amazon Basics, they make pretty good stuff in their Basics electronics line, including phone chargers and extension cords.

4. JOBY GorillaPod

There’s a reason you see vloggers using this one all the time. It’s so simple, so sturdy, and easy to travel with. I use it anytime I’m doing a standing-up video!
